The Writing on the veins in my body
A story of my forgotten childhood
The hidden thoughts wrought into my bones
Unattainable comfort lies just beyond

Promises of something beautiful
A song like a sharpened spear
That pierces the sky and sea
Like the lash of a wound
That falls on my brow
As a fortress of my own weakness
I am slowly forced to my knees
As if I became a stone
Becoming My own symbolic being Alone (and drowning in silence)

The days are detached My body buried deep in the snow
Frost piecing bitter kisses (my cheeks)
My soul goes bare trying to be free itself from this frozen shell
