Lifetime is short compared to the time the earth has existed in
Earth's lifetime compared to that of the great universe
Equally short, our images of the world that we populate
Die harder, our fate and our images
Seen through our eyes might well be lies
What access do we have to the world we are living in
Is this a dream that we live, it's hard to believe
What proof can there be of life, I just think that

It's strange how we all walk around, on visitors feet upon our ground
And make believe that this is all, as we know all is
And strange how we can't understand,
Compared, earth is only a grain of sand,
When faced with this, I can't deny that ignorance is bliss
When all things flow eternally, and no man is ever there to see
The great eternal unperceived, what is existence
Are these things real although unseen,
And what does it matter where we have been
Like grains of sand blow in the wind, so is our existence

Kill the fire, cut the wire, deny desire, be a liar, watch me then
Feed the fire, pull the wire, then take it higher than lie, don't waste breath in it
While we think redemption will save us from temptation
We can't escape religion whatever it's origin, is there no
Way out of the madness, it's only brought us sandness
Consider it an illness in life, why did it never seem

Strange how we all walk around, on visitors feet upon our ground

A vida é curta comparada ao tempo em que a Terra existiu
A vida da Terra comparada àquela do grande Universo
Igualmente curtas, nossas imagens do mundo que populamos
Morra mais dificilmente, nosso destino e nossas imagens
Visto pelos nossos olhos, podem ser mentiras
Que acesso temos ao mundo em que vivemos?
Isso é um sonho, o que vivemos? É difícil acreditar
Que prova pode haver da vida? Eu só acho que

É estranho o jeito que andamos por aí, em pés de visitantes sobre nosso chão
E fazemos acreditar que isso é tudo, enquanto sabemos o que tudo é
E é estranho como não conseguimos entender
Que, comparada, a Terra é só um grão de areia
Quando encarado a isso, não posso negar que ignorância é alegria.
Quando todas as coisas fluem eternamente, e nenhum Homem nunca está lá para ver
O grande e eterno despercebido, o que é existência?
Essas coisas são reais, apesar de não vistas?
E o que importa onde estivemos?
Como grãos de areia sopram no vento, assim é nossa existência.

Apague o fogo, corte o fio, negue o desejo, seja um mentiroso, então me veja
Alimente o fogo, puxe o fio, leve-o mais alto que a mentira, não gaste fôlego nisso
Enquanto nós achamos que redenção nos salvará da tentação,
Não conseguimos escapar da religião, qualquer que seja sua origem, não há
Caminho para fora da loucura? Ela só nos trouxe tristeza
Considere-a uma doença na vida. Por que nunca nos pareceu
